Reports of Smoke Reported at Sunrise Mall Likely Caused By Faulty Appliance
Investigation by Sacramento Metro Fire Department lead fire fighters to malfunctioning employees' appliances.
Reports of plumes of smoke were investigated inside Sunrise Mall in Citrus Heights early Monday morning.
Just after 8 a.m. Sacramento Metro fire fighters responded to a call made near the mall. After arriving at the mall and further investigation, fire fighters concluded the cause of the smoke was emanating from the Cutegirl.com boutique, according to a statement made by Sacramento Metro Fire representative, Christian Pebbles.
Pebbles reported the cause of the smoke was likely related to a malfunctioning appliance in the employees’ break room; however, he was unable to further elaborate on the situation. No injuries are being reported at this time and the boutique was closed at the time of reporting. No one from the boutique was available for comment at the time of investigation.
