For some, though, the wet weather may be a welcome reprieve from the warmer temperatures the Fair Oaks community has been experiencing. Regardless of the reason there will be a selection of exciting and interesting ways to have fun without getting drenched outside. Travel the World with Python Ron's Reptile Kingdom
Hey! Who likes snakes? Oh, come on, now. There are valid reasons to want to get to know the various species of reptiles roaming right outside your front door. Especially in the warmer months when snakes are out and about, it may prove useful to know the difference between a rattle snake and a king snake. Python Ron presents a learning experience about the world of reptiles. Kids will observe, touch, and have the opportunity to hold reptiles of various colors and sizes. The event will be held at the Orangevale Community Center, 6826 Hazel Avenue, from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
CSI: How It Really Works
We've all caught at least one or two episodes of the hit TV show, now find out how the real science of crime scene investigating really works. CSI specialists from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department will demonstrate tactics and strategies used in real-life situations. The demonstration is designed to educate teens and adults, and those spectators under 13 years of age require parental accompaniment. The free event will take place at the from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce Joint Mixer
After a long day at the office, stop by the for some socializing with some friendly Fair Oaks faces. The in coordination with Citrus Heights, Carmichael and Orangevale chambers, play host to the event. Food and libations are likely to be on hand. Festivities will kick off around 6 p.m. and will last till 7. Stop by, say hi and don't forget your business cards.
