Message in a Bottle

Hey kids, ever wonder what it might be like to be Robinson Crusoe or Tom Hanks, stranded on a remote island? Barring the presence of a volleyball with a handprint to talk to why not learn to talk to someone a little more ... anthropomorphic while on that island. Design a modern-day “message in a bottle” postcard and learn a few tips about writing. These postcards will be stamped and addressed back to the Fair Oaks Library for display. Stop by around 3:30 p.m. to get started.

Crochet and Knitting Circle

Speaking of Fair Oaks Library, the good folks over there are hosting a crochet and knitting circle for those interested in such things. Bring the current project or start something new. Start a conversation, enjoy some companionship and create. You're on the hook (get it?) for you own supplies, but if you're looking for inspiration library members can help. For more information, call 916-264-2920.
