Thursday's here and we're once again that much closer to another Friday, but why wait? There's plenty of ways to have a good time today before, during and after work hours for those so inclined.
Need to drop off the kids for a few hours today? The Fair Oaks Library presents some fun activities planned for the community youth. For the more adventurous kids, Sunrise Mall is hosting the Kids' Adventure Club.
Looking to get involved with community planning, engagement and development? The Fair Oaks Recreation and Parks District will be holding a special board meeting this evening.

Kids' Adventure Club
Attention kids, ages five and younger: Every Thursday morning from 10 till 11, join other kids in Sunrise Mall's Adventure Club. Join Milton the Monkey on his journey through the mall's boutiques seeking creative, craft-making adventures along the way. The free weekly event is for both kids and parents to participate in together. Kids and members must be accompanied by their parent or guardian at all times during the activities. Sandcastles with ArtBeast
is giving children the opportunity to read The Sandcastle by M.P. Robertson, discovering the magic of living by the sea and imagining the world inside a sand castle. Afterward, children will have the chance to work with sand dough and molds to create personalized sand castles they can take home. Sand dough will harden into a permanent sand castle overnight. The event kicks off at 3:30 p.m. and finishes up around 4:15.

FORPD Board Meeting
Board of Directors from the in a special workshop to discuss the topic of disability access with Americans with Disabilities Act consultants regarding the district's ADA assessment.
