Rooster Call 7/26: Fair Oaks History, Summer Blast, Blues

Your daily planner to get your day started so you can be on your way.

Monday seemed to just fly by this week. Maybe it's just us, though. At any rate, it's Tuesday and even though summer vacation is in its final throes, there's reason for celebration.

Today the Fair Oaks Historical Society is holding a meeting. The Presbyterian Church of Fair Oaks will be keeping kids ages 13 and younger entertained for the next four weeks. Looking for a way to unwind from the day? Stop by The San Juan Club for blues night.

However the day is spent, make sure to enjoy it. The weather will be nice and there's always something happening in and around the area.

Fair Oaks Historical Society Meeting

Chances are if there's some nagging question about Fair Oaks that has gone unanswered by peers and friends, the good folks over at the Fair Oaks Historical Society may be able to assuage some of those frustrations. The society is dedicated to collecting, recording, preserving and presenting the historical record of Fair Oaks and its inhabitants. Stop by the Community Clubhouse in Fair Oaks Village around 6:00 p.m. There's likely to be some good conversation with some knowledgable acquaintances.

Summer Blast

Need a break from the kids for the day? Kids, are you looking for a little more excitement in these lazy days of summer vacation? Members of the Presbyterian Church of Fair Oaks are providing a means for both. Kids ages two to 14 are invited to the church for "art projects, bounce houses, crazy hairdos, activities, games and follow the biblical journey of Paul." Stop by the church at 11427 Fair Oaks Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. It's $50 per person and festivities go till 8:30 p.m. For more information, call 916-967-4784 ext. 811.
