Friday looms on the horizon, yet the work week still holds many in its embrace. Why not find a way to unwind when the day is finished and enjoy some fun in Fair Oaks?
Today the welcomes a new band to The Concert in The Park while just across the street at , open mic will be in full effect. Discover yoga in the forest when the Fair Oaks Library transports youth to some of Sacramento's lush ecosystems.
Forest Yoga
Children will listen to stories that take place in our local ecosystem, discovering the animals and plants living in Sacramento. Afterwards, the teacher will lead children on a yoga journey as they travel along the river, assuming the poses of the various animals, trees, rocks, and plants they encounter. Stop into the Fair Oaks Library to sign up. The free trip embarks at 3:30 p.m. For more information, call 916-264-2700.

Concerts in the Park
Tonight's Concert in the Park features Wild Wild West. Despite its name, the band plays 70s and 80s hits, R&B, rock and country. Festivities start at 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chair and hat. Hot dogs, sodas, chips, pizza and ice cream sundaes will be on sale. For more information, call 916-967-2903.
Open Mic Night
Can't get your fill of music? Head on over to the Fair Oaks Coffee House and Deli for Open Mic night. Don't want to sing? That's fine too. Stop by for a night cap before heading home or just come by, grab a seat and enjoy some local sounds. There's no cover charge and the music goes till 9 p.m. For more information, call 916-966-2130.
