Rooster Call 8/25: Anime, Bike Night, Concert in The Park

The fast way to plan your day.

And just like that it was Thursday. It's just one more day till it's Friday, but when there are cool ways to spend your day in Fair Oaks, well, let's just say you may not have to wait till Friday to enjoy your day after all.

Safetyville USA hosts its weekly bicycling program for family while over in The Village, The Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce presents the final summer concert in the park. Also, the  hosts another meeting for the Anime Club.

Anime Club

The Fair Oaks Library Anime Club will meet again starting at 3:30 p.m. This time they will be watching "Dragonblade" a story about a legendary blade that has the power to vanquish an evil from a town plagued by it. Refreshments will be provided, and those in attendance will help choose the Animes to be shown in the future!

Free Family Bike Nights

The title says it all -- well almost. Yes, it's free. Yes, it's family bike night and the folks over at Safetyville USA want to invite you out to partake. The fun goes from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. every Thursday, but this is the last night to check it out till next year. Children must be accompanied by an adult and every rider must have a helmet. Bicycle vendors will be out there doing safety & helmet checks.  A Bike Safety Clinic at will be held at 6:30 p.m. Hot dogs, chips, popcorn, sodas and snow cones are available for purchase.

Concerts in the Park

Speaking of season finales, the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce will be presenting its final installment in the summer concerts in the park series with the Capitol Pops Concert Band. The band plays broadway, pop and patriotic music. Don't miss it! As always, bring your lawn chair & hat. Hot dogs, chips, sodas, pizza and ice cream sundaes will be for sale. For more information, call 916-967-2903.
