
September has arrived and with it comes the debut of many high school fall sports programs. After a day of toiling behind your desk of choice - whether it's school or work - gather your favorite band of sports hooligans and head out to support your school of choice for some good old fashion sports rivalry.

The Del Campo Cougars boys varsity soccer team hosts the Cordova Lancers in a non-conference match. The Cougars squad have played one less game than the Lancers squad but have a better overall record at 1-0-0 compared to 1-1-0. Come support the local boys squad and check out the fast-paced action of two competitive teams squaring off. The game begins at 3:30 p.m., is open to all and free. Snack and soft drinks are available at the concession stand.

It's season opener between Del Campo and Highlands Highschool girls varsity volleyball squads. Highlands travels to Del Campo where the set is set to start at 5 p.m. Del Campo's national and state rankings moved up at the end of the preseason, according to MaxPreps. The game is open to all and free of charge.
Can't get enough girls volleyball? Perhaps Bella Vista is your team. Fear not. Bella Vista's debut game has the team make the hour-long trip to Woodland. Bella Vista will be taking on a team that is already 0-2-0. Though the game is a non-conference match, it will still be an important test for the Broncos to gauge how well the team can perform. The game begins at 6 p.m. and is open to everyone.
