San Juan Unified to Offer Free 'Parenting Workshop'
A free summer workshop seeks to help navigate parents through the challenges their teenage children will face as they continue to grow.

San Juan Unified School District officials believe they can help moms and dads better prepare their children for the rigors associated with growing up.
District mental health specialists are offering a free summer workshop for parents seeking help navigating teen challenges and the demands of parenting.
The four-week program will cover various topics, including teen substance abuse, bullying and gang influence. The goal of the program will attempt to help parents figure out effective ways to communicate those issues and resolve them, according to a district press release.

The program will be held on four Tuesdays: June 26, and July 10, 17 and 24. Each session is from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at La Vista Center.
