Scattered Showers Wednesday Night and Thursday Before Brief Reprieve

Make sure to bring the umbrella to work Thursday.

The National Weather Service is expecting hazardous weather for the Fair Oaks area, starting Wednesday night and continuing through most of Thursday with intermittent rain.

The outlook calls for an 80 percent chance of precipitation. Mild winds will reach highs of 5 to 10 mph and precipitation to extend through the evening when temperatures will get to a low of around 49 degrees. Expect brief heavy downpours, thunder, lightning and even a slight chance of hail in certain areas.

Friday looks mostly sunny, with highs of 63-degrees before the clouds roll back into the area. Another Pacific weather system will move through Northern California bringing strong winds and precipitation.
