Teens Arrested in School Break-In
Sheriff's deputies foiled an attempted burglary at La Vista Center this weekend, thanks to a silent alarm.

Sheriff’s deputies say they caught three teenagers breaking into a Fair Oaks school early Sunday morning in an attempt to steal computer equipment.
Deputies have arrested 19-year-old Joshua Klanjac of Citrus Heights and two 16-year-old boys on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy, said Deputy Jason Ramos, a spokesperson for the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department.
The would-be burglars set off a silent alarm at La Vista Center just before 1 a.m. Sunday, Ramos said. Officers arriving at the scene immediately took one young man into custody, while another took off running, he said.

The officers found a broken window in the school building and a car nearby containing the equipment. Representatives of the San Juan Unified School District confirmed the equipment belonged to the school, which serves students with special needs.
A search of the neighborhood with a helicopter and spotlights netted the suspect who had fled and one other.

Authorities did not release the names of the other two suspects because they are minors. It was unclear Sunday whether any of the suspected thieves were students at the school.
