Thieves Attack Elderly Man Inside His Root Ave. Home

A 90-year-old man was attacked inside his Carmichael home early Saturday morning during a home invasion robbery, a Sacramento County Sheriff's Office spokesman reported.

The man was inside his home on the 3000 block of Root Avenue when he was grabbed by one of his arms and pulled off his bed, said Dep. Jason Ramos.

The man sustained moderate injuries to his face and arms but refused treatment, Ramos said. The thieves took cash and multimedia equipment from the home.
