Thinking of a Military Career? Congressman Bera is Hosting a Service Academy Day
High school students who want to be military officers should attend this event.

If you like the idea of flying jets in the U.S. Navy or Air Force or if you want to be an officer in the Army or the Marines, you’ll want to consider attending an informational meeting being hosted by a local Congressman.
Congressman Ami Bera, M.D. will hold the 2013 Sacramento County Service Academy Day on Saturday, September 14, 2013, for high school students who are interested in serving as an officer in the United States armed forces and their parents and guidance counselors. The event will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.at National University, 10901 Gold Center Drive in Rancho Cordova
Representatives from each of the five service academies, including the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, the United States Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, will be available to provide information and answer questions. Bera’s district office staff will also participate.

“Our nation's service academies are some of the top universities in the nation,” said Bera. “They provide high quality education and also prepare our young people for leadership roles in our country’s armed forces. It’s an honor to have the opportunity to nominate qualified Sacramento County students for these prestigious schools.”
