Trotter Arraigned on Murder Charges from Jail Cell
Moses Stanley Trotter did not make a public appearance at his court room arraignment for reasons court officials would not specify.
The was arraigned from his jail cell Tuesday afternoon on one count of murder in the first degree.
Sacramento County Jail court officials could not disclose why Moses Stanley Trotter was unable to make a court room appearance for his arraignment only specifying that it could have been a number of reasons, including medical, physical and psychological impairments among myriad others.
Families of both the victim and the suspect showed up for the arraignment, but chose not to speak with media.

Before the arraignment Trotter's mother was placed under arrest outside the jailhouse court room by County Sheriff's deputies.
Naquita Louise Trotter was arrested on an outstanding no-bail warrant stemming from December 2008, according to official court records.

According to the record, charges include multiple cases of fraud and perjury as well as elderly abuse and falsely impersonating a healthcare provider.
Both the mother and the son are being held inside the Sacramento County Main Jail.
