Machete Fight at Marconi Ave. Apartment Complex Leaves Three Injured
Police say alcohol a factor.

Three people were injured Wednesday evening during a fight at a Marconi Avenue apartment complex that involved a machete, a Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.
Law enforcement officers arrived on scene at the a complex at 5325 Marconi Avenue to reports of a 51-year-old man involved in a domestic dispute with his girlfriend, said Dep. Jason Ramos.
A 47-year-old man attempted to break up the dispute when he was approached by the older man who was holding a machete. The younger man received a superficial wound to his neck while the older man sustained wounds to his neck and head, Ramos said.

The woman collapsed to the ground with chest pains. All three were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening wounds and the younger man declined medical attention, Ramos said.
Alcohol was a factor as the injuried parties were intoxicated, he said. The older man was combative with medical staff at the hospital. Officers at the scene took a report and forwarded the case to the detctive unit where it will be determined if any charges are filed, Ramos said.
