Verbal Dispute at Victim's Home Turns Violent, Suspect at Large
A Fair Oaks man was physically accosted on his property by an unknown suspect for reasons no one seems to be able to understand.

For reasons still not exactly known a Fair Oaks man found himself swollen and bruised following a verbal altercation that eventually led to violence.
The incident occurred outside the victim's Illinois Avenue home April 24 around 9 p.m. when an unknown suspect, identified as a white male in his mid- to late-30s approached the home's front door.
According to a Sacramento County Sheriff's deputy report, the victim was in an argument with the suspect outside his home prompting the suspect to leave angry. However, the suspect would return some time later, resulting in a more heated argument. This argument would eventually result in the suspect punching the victim in the eye. According to the report, the victim's eye was swollen with dark red bruising around both eye lids. The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.

Sacramento Sheriff's spokesman Jason Ramos said the victim does not know the suspect, but believes he may be from the area.
"The victim seems to think he might live in, or at least be familiar with the area, because the suspect was inquiring about a property that the victim owns being advertised for sale," Ramos said.

The suspect is described as a caucasian male aged 35 to 37, around 5-feet-8-inches, weighing about 150 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.
"(The victim) is receptive to cooperating with prosecution if, in fact, the suspect is identified and arrested," Ramos said. "Only the District Attorney, however, can press charges."
Ramos also said the only thing the victim can think of that might have led the suspect to react the way he did was when earlier the victim didn’t have time to talk to the suspect about the advertised sale and sent him on his way.
