Video: Firefighters Extinguish Kipling Drive House Fire

Home was unoccupied, no injuries reported.

Firefighters extinguished a fire late Monday night inside an unoccupied home on Kipling Drive in Carmichael, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District officials announced.

At about 10:40 p.m., a Sac Metro Fire crew responded to a reported structure fire at 4863 Kipling Drive, east of Jacob Lane and American River Drive near , according to a Sac Metro Fire news release. Firefighters found the about 3,000 square foot, secured house with extensive fire involvement and flames shooting through the roof.

Firefighters forced entry to conduct a primary search and perform a fire attack, Asst. Chief Walt White said. The home, which was reportedly under extensive remodeling, was destroyed.

No injuries were reported, White said.

Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to adjacent homes.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, White said.
