Village Enhancement Committee Chooses Lamps for Streetscape Project

At a Wednesday meeting members from the Fair Oaks Village Enhancement Committee made up their minds how The Village streets should be illuminated in the dark.

From a selection of three street lamp options, FOVEC members opted for "Option A", a gaslamp-style inspired lamp. The lamps can currently be seen along the Hazel Avenue Bridge. 

The decision was made despite apparent sentiment from .

"We want to find the one (street lamp) that defines Fair Oaks," said Fair Oaks Recreation and Park Board Chair Geoff Simcoe, who sat in on the meeting. Simcoe did not contribute a vote on the item.
