Week in Review, July 23: River Antics, Eppie's Great Race, Ted Gaines, More

It wa a week chock-full of bright skies and fun times along the American River. The week also brought news of impending change for Fair Oaks residents. Fair Oaks locals heard news their community could be , which garnered mostly negative reactions. To catch up on this and more, here is the week in review for the week ending July 23.

1.  - Local summer rafting businesses, River Raft and American River Raft Rentals hope to finish out the season on a high note after a lackluster beginning.
2.  - An event posted on Facebook attracted nearly more than 3,500 rafters to the American River. Local law enforcement and rescue teams were out in force to ensure the safety. .

9.  - In a recent report, Fair Oaks has been rated less walkable than its neighboring community of Carmichael, but is still average for the area.
10.  - Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies track thieves who broke into a bait car in Fair Oaks, leading authorities to a drug bust.
