Friday, Aug. 17

Movies in the Park: Presented by and Spanda Industrial, Sponsored by Fair Oaks Host Lions Club and Fair Oaks Youth Advisory Board.
Where: Village Park
Time: Movie begins at sunset but come out early to get a good seat beginning at 6:30pm. Snacks and Popcorn are available for purchase from our sponsors.
Feature Presentation: Little Rascals

The Great American Trailer Park Musical: Back by popular demand, The Great American Trailer Park Musical is the story of a new tenant at the Armadillo Acres and she's causing havoc all over Florida's most exclusive trailer park. When Pippi, the stripper on the run, comes between the Dr. Phil loving, agoraphobic Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband, Norbert, the storms begin to brew.
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday

Saturday, Aug. 18

Preschool Dance Discovery: Tap! Ballet! Gymnastics! Put on those dancing shoes and explore the world of dance and creative movement. Tots learn the fundamentals of dance using a variety of techniques and styles. This class is an introduction to ballet, tap and tumbling.
When: Saturday at 9 a.m. and for four weeks at a time.
Where: McMillan Center in Fair Oaks Park (8020 Temple Park Rd.)

The WOW Bus: The WOW (Wonderful Outdoor World) Bus brings children and families of the community together through a variety of activities. Group games like flag football, parachute games  and dodge ball will be offered. Artistic skills will be encouraged through activities such as drawing with sidewalk chalk, coloring, painting, and craft techniques of making a beaded necklace. There are plenty of fun activities to go around, and there are recreation leaders on hand to provide direction to the children and get them engaged and interested in something they may not have tried before. Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District is striving to get all children back outdoors.

Sunday, Aug. 19

Live Action Role Play: Amtgard, Live the Dream: Amtgard is a boffer-style Live Action Role Play game (LARP) that uses padded medieval safe weapons and magic for combat and fun. Ages from 14 to 60 can play, but those under 14 will need parent approval. If combat is not your thing, enjoy the day watching the games, meeting new people and using that Renaissance Faire garb that only sees the light of day two to three times per year. Loaner equipment is available and free to use. Costuming and garb is not required but encouraged.
When: 12 p.m. Sunday
Where: Fair Oaks Park (11549 Fair Oaks Blvd), north of the large picnic area in the large wooded area.
