What Should Replace Java Centrale?

Coffee shop at Fair Oaks and Manzanita has closed- what should go in next?

, which offered coffee, smoothies and hookah (flavored tobacco) at the intersection of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Manzanita Avenue in Carmichael, is one of the latest local businesses to close it doors.

Property owner George Tannous said the previous tenant left in November.

"We are working on finding a new tenant, perhaps a restaurant," Tannous said.

With such a prime location, it may seem difficult to believe the business would close but competition from a nearby is likely to blame. Also, it had odd hours, as it didn't open for business until 3 p.m. and stayed open until 2 a.m.

So what do you think should replace Java Centrale? Another coffee shop? A Jamba Juice or other smoothie or yogurt shop? Something else?
