Will 'Hunger Games'Mania Take Over Fair Oaks?

It doesn't seem like one can look anywhere and not see or hear something about Hunger Games. And whether or not the movie actually ends living up to the hype or not, it's likely to be a busy weekend for the film at the box office.

Now I've been told on  the books are good, but does that necessarily translate to a good movie? We know the translation from book to silver screen can be a rough road and sometimes it just doesn't work (*cough* The Rum Diary *cough*), much to the disappointment of fans.

Some reports say the movie could be "bigger than Twilight," and the New York Times reportedthat Fandango was selling "10 tickets per second" to the film as of mid-day Thursday. That pace crowned it as the ticket website's best-selling non-sequel ever, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The closest theater featuring the Hunger Games will be about an eight mile drive into Folsom to Century 14 Folsom, about 15 minutes outside of Fair Oaks. Remaining showtimes today include 3:55, 4:45, 5:30, 6:20, 7:10, 8:00, 8:45, 9:35 and 10:25.
