FOSTER CITY, CA — The water level in the Foster City lagoon will be raised about 8 inches the week of March 17, according to city officials.

The city’s Lagoon Management Plan sets standard lagoon water levels for winter and summer. The lagoon level is lowered in the winter to prepare for additional water associated with frequent winter storms. In the summer, levels are raised to accommodate recreational uses of the lagoon waterway. If a major storm is predicted, the lagoon level may be lowered in preparation for the storm at any time of year.

Anyone with questions about the lagoon levels or Lagoon Management Plan is asked to contact Public Works Maintenance Superintendent Greg Baeza at 650-286-3551 or gbaeza@fostercity.org.
