Hit and Run Driver in Davis Kills Bowditch Grad

Vladimir Debabov, a 21-year-old Bowditch Middle and Mills High School graduate, was struck and killed by a driver early Saturday morning while walking on Highway 113 near Davis, the Davis Enterprise reported.

CHP reported that Debabov was walking northbound on the highway when he was struck at about 3:50 a.m. on Saturday. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Debabov was a 2005 Bowditch Middle School graduate, according to Lagonian. Debabov graduated from Mills in 2009, and was attending UC Berkeley. At Mills, he was on the track team and was part of the high school’s Interact Club, which promotes international understanding.

The Davis Enterprise is reporting that CHP has no information about the driver, who left the scene of the accident. It is unknown whether alcohol was a factor in the incident.
