The project involves underground boring to install new pipelines that are more resistant to corrosion and earthquakes, according to city officials.
PG&E will mail construction advisory notices to about 1,500 residents in the vicinity. Once the new pipelines are installed, PG&E will temporarily disconnect existing gas service while service is re-connected to the new pipeline.

A PG&E representative will contact the homeowners 7-10 days prior to switchover to schedule the work and to re-light gas appliances.
Construction activities may affect parking from time to time. PG&E will post advance warning signs and provide flaggers to direct traffic safely through the work area.
