Police Log, Feb. 7-10: Person Shoots Pellets at Feral Cats

1:01 a.m. - Disturbance - Occurred on Beach Park Blvd. Report of loud machinery in the shopping center. Determined to be cleaning equipment at listed.

8:07 a.m. - Parking Violation - Occurred at E Hillsdale Bl/Promontory Point. Rp reports a limo bus parked in the turn pocket blocking the view for vehicles exiting Promontory Point. Subject contacted and vehicle moved.

11:18 a.m. - Leash Law Violation - Occurred at Catamaran Park on Catamaran. Rp reports 5 women walking along the track with a dog off leash. Contact/compliance.

6:42 p.m. - Property Incident - Occurred on Bounty Dr. RP at the front counter reports the rear license plate to her vehicle is missing. RP did not have time to make a report and will come back at a later time. License plate entered into SVS.

11:16 a.m. - Found Property - Occurred on Shell Blvd. Found wallet brought to the Station. Door hanger left at address listed on ID. Wallet booked into property.  

3:42 p.m. - Animal Call - Occurred on Chess Dr. Front counter RP reporting 3rd hand information that unknown(s) have been shooting pellets at feral cats. Information obtained. Officer to follow up.

8:40 a.m. - Graffiti - Occurred on Sea Cloud Dr. Report of graffiti in the mens' restroom. Occurred between 2/8/13 1500hrs & 0700hrs today.

1:50 p.m. - Grand Theft - Occurred on Balboa Ln. Case taken after resident noticed jewelry missing from her residence worth about $10,000. Occurred sometime between summer 2012 and 2/5/13. 

2:02 p.m. - Graffiti - Occurred on Edgewater Blvd. Officer sees subject tagging a light pole. Male juvenile possibly Hispanic wearing a black bb hat and black hoodie. Juvenile seen running with a female with long black hair wearing a pink shirt. Extensive area check made with negative results.

10:30 a.m. - Disturbance - Occurred on Shell Blvd. Upstairs neighbors loud, running around and vibrating walls. Fire/medics called for complaint of anxiety and rapid heartbeat due to stress from disturbance upstairs. Check made/transport refused. Contact made with upstairs neighbors who were advised of the complaint/situation.

10:49 a.m. - Fireworks - Occurred on Nina Ln. Report of fireworks set off in backyard. Contact made with residents celebrating the Chinese New Year. Resident advised of ordinance and will cease/comply. 

5:35 p.m. - Residential Burglary - Occurred on Catamaran. RP reports approximately $14,000 worth of jewelry taken from the residence between 02/03/13 and 02/07/13. RP also reports his car taken without permission in the afternoon. Case taken and SVS entry made.

6:20 p.m. - Reckless Driving - Occurred at Edgewater Blvd/E Hillsdale Blvd. RP reports an older male was driving erratically and straddling 2 lanes on northbound Edgewater before turning left on E. Hillsdale Blvd.
