Barons Roll in First Game of Valley Christian Tourney

Fountain Valley improved to 4-1 with a 74-34 win over Bellflower.

Coming off of a third-place finish in last week's La Quinta Shootout, Fountain Valley burst out of the gates in its first game of this week's Valley Christian Tournament in Cerritos with a 74-34 rout of Bellflower.

Josh Armstong went for 17 points to lead the Barons, one of three Fountain Valley players to score in double figures. Zack Richartz added 12 points and Nathan Moss chipped in with 10 points as 10 Barons in all got on the scoreboard.

The Barons will take on host Valley Christian in their second game of tournament pool play on Wednesday. Game time is 5 p.m.
