Barons Set to Take on Edison in Annual Battle for the Bell
Fountain Valley is hoping to take down the rival Chargers after notching its first league win last week.
Two bitter rivals will square off Friday night at Orange Coast College as Fountain Valley takes on Edison in the annual Battle for the Bell.
The Barons (4-4, 1-2) are coming off their first Sunset League win, a 24-20 win over Marina last week. Edison, on the other hand, has won three straight and is 6-2 overall, its only two losses coming against powerhouses Mater Dei and Servite.
Friday night's game will be the 43rd between the two teams, with Edison winning the last six, including a decisive 35-17 win in last year's game. Overall, Edison leads the series 27-14, with one tie.
