Fright Night Event Features Free Movie, 'Trunk or Treating.'
Local businesses will be on hand with plenty of free treats to collect before the kids sit down for a screening of 'Gremlins.'

Fountain Valley’s Recreation and Community Services Division is hosting the final free movie of the fall Friday night at the Sports Park when it presents Fright Night featuring the movie "Gremlins."
Prior to the movie, a Trunk or Treat event will take place in the parking lot next to Fields B and C off of the entrance at Brookhurst and Heil. There will be more than 25 trunks sponsored by local organizations handing out treats to local kids. If your kids are dressing up for the event, be sure to for a chance to win a trip to New York to meet Heidi Klum!
The Trunk or Treat event is in honor of Red Ribbon week, supporting safe alternatives for local youth. Kids of all ages are encouraged to bring a sack to collect treats. Free games will round out the night's activities.
The event starts at 5:30 p.m., and the movie starts at 7 p.m.
