Halloween Comes to Heritage Hill Two Weeks Early

There's a haunt Friday night for those 13 and older and a family-oriented festival on Saturday afternoon and evening. Come in costume and bring a trick-or-treat bag.

Heritage Hill Historic Park in Lake Forest is celebrating Halloween early with its annual haunt on Friday and Autumn Harvest Festival on Saturday.

On Friday, Oct. 18, the 6th annual Haunt at Heritage Hill includes a haunted schoolhouse, the Legend of Sleepy Hollow, a scream zone and a special screening of the classic movie "Dracula." There's also a DJ and dancing.

Bela Lugosi Jr., sone of the legendary star of "Dracula," will be at the event signing autographs and answering questions.

The haunt is from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Admission is $5 and parking is free. The event is recommended for those 13 years of age and up.

On Saturday, Oct. 19, OC Parks and the City of Lake Forest present the annual Autumn Harvest Festival. Family fun attractions will include trick-or-treat stations, adventure mazes, a haunted school house, story telling and a Halloween costume parade.

The festival is from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is $4 for adults and $3 for children 3-12. Parking is free. Come in costume and bring a trick-or-treat bag.
