LAPD Officer Arrested in Huntington Beach, Accused of Exposing Himself

Someone complained about a man exposing himself near the wetlands at Bolsa Chica Street south of Los Patos Avenue.

A Los Angeles police officer was arrested on suspicion of exposing himself in Huntington Beach where he lives, a Huntington Beach lieutenant said today.

Ryan Eric Galliher, 33, was arrested about 7:30 a.m. Thursday by Huntington Beach police, Huntington Beach police Lt. Mitch O’Brien said. Someone complained about a man exposing himself, he said, and police were watching the area near the wetlands at Bolsa Chica Street south of Los Patos Avenue.

No one but police saw Galliher exposing himself just before he was arrested, O’Brien said. Galliher, who is assigned to the Southwest Station, was put on administrative leave after his arrest, O’Brien said.

He was booked on suspicion of a lewd act in public.
