New Yakult HQ on Planning Commission Agenda

The Japanese drink company is planning a 3-building campus, including a 76,000-square-foot manufacturing plant.

At its regular meeting Wednesday, the Fountain Valley Planning Commission will consider a resolution that would give Yakult USA the green light to begin construction on a three-building beverage plant at the former 3 Star Nursery site on Newhope Avenue.

The facility would center on a 76,000-square-foot manufacturing plant, and would also feature an 11,000-square-foot office building and a 10,000-square-foot storage building.

The commission will also consider a conditional use permit application from Hertz for a new rental car agency, which would also be located on Newhope Avenue, as well as a proposal from Miyagi Boxing Gym, which hopes to open a new training facility on Brookhurst Street.
