Update: Plea Deal Could Be Reached Today in Deadly Hit-and-Run
If convicted at trial, Adam Garrett could face up to four years in prison in death of Fountain Valley man.

Update: After a meeting between Garrett's attorney and the assistant district attorney, Garrett's pretrial was continued again until Jan. 6.
A plea agreement could be reached Monday morning in the case of accused hit-and-run killer Adam Garrett.
Assistant District Attorney Nancy Hayashida said last week that an agreement might be in the works, but that it couldn't be considered until this week because Superior Court Judge John Adams wasn't on the bench during the scheduled resumption of pretrial proceedings Dec. 5.
