Update: Pretrial Hearing Resumes for Accused Hit-and-Run Killer
Adam Garrett is scheduled to appear Monday morning at the West Justice Center in Westminster.

A pretrial hearing is scheduled to resume Monday in the case of a Huntington Beach man accused in the of a Fountain Valley cyclist.
Adam Carl Garrett, 19, is charged with felony hit-and-run death and misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in connection with the death of Hung Do of Fountain Valley. Garrett is accused of crashing into the back of Do's bicycle and throwing Do from the bike. Do landed in the far right lane of Warner Avenue, and was eventually taken to the hospital, where he died shortly thereafter.
Garrett is also accused of fleeing the scene without assisting Do or contacting police and paramedics, as well as later placing a call to 911 and falsely identiyfing himself as a witness to the accident.

It's been just more than a month since the in the case on Nov. 2. During that hearing, Superior Court Judge John Adams heard emotional statements from several of Do's friends and family members.
Garrett is free on $50,000 bond.

Update: Garrett's hearing was continued to Dec. 12, when Adams, who won't be back on the bench until Thursday, is expected to consider a potential plea deal in the case
