Arraignment For Glendora Doctor Accused of Selling Illegal Prescriptions Postponed

The arraignment for a Glendora physician accused of writing illegal prescriptions for highly addictive medication and selling them for a cash price has been postponed.

Rolando Lodevico Atiga was arrested July 12 at his office at 402 W. Baseline Rd. Glendora Police say he had been selling prescriptions for drugs such as oxycodone, vicodin, xanax and percocet to patients for $200 to $400 in cash.

Police were able to nab Atiga based on sales he made to undercover officers. At one point, a suspicious Atiga requested one of the undercover officers to supply him an X-ray to prove she needed the medication. Atiga eventually sold the officer the prescription when she gave him an X-ray of her dog.

Atiga was released on his own recognizance following his July arrest. Atiga was originally scheduled to appear Monday in court, but his court date was postponed to Sept. 28 at Pomona Superior Court.
