Chalk Art Festival: Local Artists Color Downtown Glendora

Local artists, young and old, took to the sidewalks of Glendora’s downtown Village Center to create colorful scenes of art at the annual Chalk Art Festival Saturday.

Seventy artists took part in the event, creating images from films, comics, cartoons and other pastel scenes.

According to event coordinator Carol Gill, this year’s event drew 35 percent more artists than the previous year.

Cash prizes were awarded for Best of Show, Crowd Favorite and Best 3D Design in different age groups.
