Chick-fil-A in Azusa Open For Business

The restaurant chain handed out a year's worth of free meal vouchers to the first 100 customers in line.

They braved the chilly elements, but for 100 customers waiting in line for 24 hours, a year’s supply of chicken sandwiches was worth the wait.

One hundred customers waited in line in front of the new Azusa Chick-fil-A at 900 E. Alosta Ave. since early morning Wednesday to receive their 52 vouchers for free Chick-fil-A meals.

More than 100 people – 165 to be exact – showed up Wednesday, but according to contest rules, a raffle determined the top 100 placements.
