Comedian Paula Poundstone Heads Back to Citrus Stage

The Emmy award-winning comedian will perform at the Haugh Performing Arts Center in March.

After performing at Citrus College in April 2011, Comedian Paula Poundstone is ready for an encore.

Poundstone, 53, known for her gender-bending outfits and her witty and spontaneous humor, will be appearing at the Haugh Performing Arts Center Saturday, March 2 at 8 p.m.

Aside from her stand-up comedy, the Emmy award winner is known for her HBO and BRAVO comedy specials, NPR’s Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me and her appearances on Comic Relief, Sesame Street and Late Night with David Letterman.

Poundstone describes her shows as one big cocktail party, although her onstage beverage of choice is a Diet Pepsi.

β€œYou know how it is, you talk about the drive to the party, how hard it was to park, how nice the house is,” Poundstone told Patch in 2011. β€œAnd you end up talking about current events and with old friends, who want you to β€˜tell that story about the time. . .’ And like at a party, you ask people what they do for a living, that kind of thing.”
