Couple Arrested Near Mexican Border With Stolen Glendora Dealership Truck

The new truck was stolen from the Colley Ford dealership over the weekend, according to Glendora Police.

A couple was arrested near the California-Mexican border early Monday morning in a brand new pickup truck authorities believe was stolen from the Colley Ford dealership in Glendora over the weekend.

A Covina man and woman, whose names were not available, were stopped by Calexico Police. Officers noticed that the brand new Ford F-150 pickup truck at that point had only racked up about 300 miles.

Authorities were able to trace the pickup to the Colley Ford dealership.

They alerted Glendora Police of the suspected grand theft auto at around 5 a.m., according to Lt. Jamie Caldwell.

Glendora Police notified staff at Colley Ford who were able to determine that a Ford pickup truck matching the model seized in Calexico was missing from the dealership lot.

Caldwell said the truck will be returned to the dealership. The suspects are detained at a Calexico station pending an investigation.
