Glendora Hosting β€˜.5K’ Race In September

The quarter-mile race will raise money for the Glendora Community Services Foundation and is billed as "the run for the rest of us."

GLENDORA, CA β€” An extensive training plan won’t be necessary for a quarter-mile race set to take place in Glendora on Sept. 18.

The Glendora Community Services Foundation will host a .5K walk/run that’s billed as β€œthe run for the rest of us," race organizers said.

The race will begin at 134 N. Glendora Ave., and participants will walk up the street to the finish line at Bennett Avenue. The finish line will feature food trucks and live music for participants to enjoy, according to organizers.

The race is only open to adults 21 and older and will take place Sept. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets cost $30 per person and includes two free beers that are redeemable at the finish line.

Proceeds from the race will be used to fund programs put on by the Community Services Foundation, organizers said.
