Glendora Welcomes New Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem

Glendora gained a new mayor and mayor pro tem as the city council reshuffled leadership during the council’s regular meeting Tuesday.

For the first time, Joe Santoro, who was elected to the city council in 2011, will serve as the city’s mayor. Judy Nelson, also elected to the council in 2011, will serve as the mayor pro tem.

Former mayor Gene Murabito and Councilmember Karen Davis were reelected to the council when this year’s election was canceled. No candidates other than Murabito and Davis turned in papers before the December 2012 deadline.

Councilmember Doug Tessitor was the only incumbent reelected to the council in 2011.
