Luca Bella to Reopen in the Downtown Village

The Italian eatery is moving to the downtown shopping district with longer hours and sidewalk dining.

When the Parlour Wine Bar & Bistro closed its doors last year, Glendora’s downtown Village lost one of its few late-night dining options.

Now Luca Bella Fine Foods, the Italian eatery that opened its doors in the Albertson’s shopping center at 529 S Glendora Ave. three years ago, is picking up where the Parlour left off.

The Glendora Planning Commission approved an application and a conditional use permit Tuesday for Luca Bella to provide alcohol and sidewalk dining in its soon-to-be new downtown location at 216 N. Glendora Ave.

Hoping to provide the Village a late-night, sophisticated dining option to visitors to the downtown, Luca Bella will offer beer and wine tasting, sidewalk dining and hours up to 11 p.m. throughout the week.

Luca Bella is serving only breakfast and lunch in its current location.

Not only does restaurant owner Christian Felippa plan to extend dining hours in its new downtown location, the restaurant will also provide a beer and wine tasting room.

β€œWe’re hoping to move downtown and extend our dining experience for everybody,” said Felippa.

Commissioner Joseph Battaglia said that he hoped the Village would attract more restaurants like Luca Bella.

β€œIt’s our aim to bring more of this style of business to the downtown,” said Battaglia.
