Small Earthquake Jolts Glendora Area
A tiny 1.0 earthquake was reported 4 miles northeast of Glendora Monday evening.

Chances are most residents didnβt feel the small earthquake reported about 4 miles northeast of Glendora Monday morning.
According to the USGS website, the earthquake registered at 1.0 at around 8:54 p.m.
The epicenter was closest to Glendora, about six miles north of San Dimas and six miles northeast of Azusa.

There were no reports of damage or even residents having felt the earthquake on the USGS website.
Earthquakes in or near Glendora are not uncommon. Glendora lies near major fault zones, including the San Andreas, Sierra Madre and Whittier faults zones, according to the cityβs Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan.
