Mr. Delgadillo is a disc jockey who likes to see those who attend his events, “become 18-20 years old in the little realm of just hanging our together.”

The Delgadillos, whose oldest of three daughters is a freshman at St. Lucy’s, have three children in the Catholic school system and have always been actively involved with the girls’ schools. “I like being a part of my child’s life. I feel like it brings us closer together,” said Mrs. Delgadillo.

Having been educated by the Catholic school systems, Mr. Delgadillo has a strong appreciation of its value. “The Catholic school system taught me the discipline; taught me the belief of having something that we can believe in, to grow more,” said Mr. Delgadillo.

St. Lucy’s is a four-year secondary school for girls, operated by the Benedictine Sisters. The school and faculty uphold the message of the Catholic Church while providing a rigorous educational curriculum, encouraging girls to be faithful, principled, and compassionate members of society.

The BASH event is the school’s largest fundraiser. This year the event is especially important because the pandemic has created financial challenges for many parents who wish to offer their daughters a Catholic education. The school will use the proceeds from the event to support students’ education and meet ongoing financial commitments.

BASH traditionally features a sit down dinner auction, however this year, the event is being re-imagined to include a takeout dinner and beverage provided by Casa Moreno Mexican Restaurant Bar & Grill in Covina. Over the course of four days, the festivities will include a socially-distant auction preview, a St. Lucy’s student recognition and seniors tribute, and a virtual dance party, complete with DJ Frank. There will be a silent auction as well as sponsorship opportunities.

Anyone wishing to make a cash or gift donation to the event should contact St. Lucy’s Office of Advancement at 626-963-0017 or email at advancement@stlucys.com. Event registration opens on March 10. To register and learn more, visit https://www.stlucys.com/apps/pages/BASH_2021.
