Half Moon Bay Brewing Company's Harvest Dinner

Celebrating the abundance of the outstanding farms, creameries and seafood on the San Mateo County coast, the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is excited to announce their inaugural Harvest Dinner. This four-course feast prepared by Executive Chef Gaston Alfaro will include a local specialty in every course paired in palate-pleasing harmony with Brewmaster James Costa’s hand-crafted beer. Reservations required as space is limited to 40 people; please call 650-728-2739.

Wednesday, Nov. 13

Acoustic Sunsets at La Costanera

Mark Kostrzewa will be playing acoustic guitar. Happy Hour goes from 5 – 7 p.m. with all kinds of drink specials and specialty Peruvian dishes available at decent prices. No cover and under 21 friendly.

Midcoast Community Council

The meeting will be held at Cypress Meadows, 343 Cypress Ave, Moss Beach starting at 7 p.m. Project Engineer Scott Holmes will make a brief presentation of the proposed project revisions and answer questions about the Big Wave North Parcel Alternative. There will also be a summary of MCC Coastal Trail Committee’s work, goals, and steps needed to complete the Midcoast California Coastal Trail, including approving a draft letter to new Parks Director Marlene Finley about establishing trails between Pillar Point and the Montara Lighthouse.

Devil's Slide Brew Club - November Meeting

Calling all homebrewers and would-be homebrewers. The Devil's Slide Brew Club meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month. We share some homebrew, swap some brewing tips and promote the homebrewing hobby. If you currently brew or just want to know about brewing, please come byAt Hop Dogma Brewing Company, 30 Avenue Portola, El Granada. 21+ only.

Rival Football Game: HMB High Cougars vs. Terra Nova

It’s the Skull Game when rivals Terra Nova and Half Moon Bay High football teams play their annual game closing the football season. The game starts at 7 p.m. at 1450 Terra Nova Blvd, Pacifica. Terra Nova High School, Frosh/Soph play at 4 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 16

Scouting for Food Drive

Boy Scouts of all ages from the Pacific Skyline Council will be collecting non-perishable food from locations throughout San Mateo and northern Santa Clara Counties during their annual "Scouting for Food" collection drive. Starting at 9 a.m., bring non-perishable, non-expired foods to the Coastside Hope warehouse, 214 Harvard Ave. in Princeton.

Book Sale at the Half Moon Bay Library

Get a jump on your holiday shopping by coming to the Friends of the Half Moon Bay Library Book Sale. There is something for everyone this year and books are sorted to make your shopping easy. Saturday at 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM and Sunday at 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
