Coastside Gives: The Super Bowl of Fundraisers on the San Mateo Coast
Big Annual Event Brings The Local Community Together To Support Non-Profit Organizations
The Mavericks Community Foundation proudly announces Coastside Gives, their superstar annual online fundraiser scheduled for May 2nd, 2024.
Since its inception in 2015, Coastside Gives has raised over $6 million, directly benefiting more than 70 local nonprofits and 48,000 individuals within the community.
This year's event will feature a 24-hour fundraising marathon primarily focused on May 2nd involving 66 nonprofits from Montara to Pescadero.

These organizations operate across various sectors including education, environmental conservation, the arts, agriculture, social services, literacy, equity and inclusion, and community development.
For many organizations, Coastside Gives serves as a lifeline, becoming a crucial source of financial support.

Mavericks Community Foundation extends its gratitude to local foundations, businesses, and donors whose unwavering support has made Coastside Gives possible.
The primary objective of Coastside Gives is to mobilize the community and supporters of nonprofits to donate within a 24-hour window on May 2nd, 2024. Both online and in-person donations will be accepted.
Those preferring to donate in person can visit the Coastside Gives donation table at New Leaf Community Market in Half Moon Bay from 9 am to 6 pm on May 2nd. Online early giving started on April 1st at coastsidegives.org
Additionally, nonprofits have the opportunity to receive prize grants based on various categories such as the highest funds raised or the most donors within a specific hour, thanks to the generous contributions from community residents, businesses, and foundations.
About Mavericks Community Foundation
Mavericks Community Foundation actively engages the community, fosters partnerships, and promotes philanthropy to create a positive and enduring impact on the San Mateo County Coast. Notably, Mavericks Community Foundation in partnership with the City of Half Moon Bay and the SMCU Community Fund administered the Coastside Victims Fund last year, providing critical support to families and victims affected by the Half Moon Bay mass shootings. Of the $250,000 raised by the fund $17,000 was raised via the "tip jar" during the 2023 Coastside Gives Campaign.
