Election Day — Vote!
Place your vote or drop your ballot off at polling locations for five races in town: Coastside County Water District, Coastside Fire Protection Board, Granada Sanitary District, Midcoast Community Council, and Montara Water & Sanitary Board.
Wednesday, Nov. 6
Acoustic Sunsets at La Costanera
Happy Hour goes from 5 to 7 p.m. with all kinds of drink specials and specialty Peruvian dishes available at decent prices with Mark Kostrzewa playing acoustic guitar. No cover and under 21 friendly.

Brews & Views at Half Moon Bay Brewing Company
The Half Moon Bay Brewing Company invites members of the community to join organizers for a cold brew and a fresh view on American politics. The founder of Not For Sale, David Batstone, will be joined by moderator Greg Galle, the co-founder and executive producer of strategy at Future, an innovation development firm, for a discussion about his campaign against human trafficking.
Friday, Nov. 8
Surfers’ Beach Erosion Public Meeting
The Army Corps of Engineers and County Harbor District will provide an update on the status of the North Half Moon Bay Shoreline Improvement Project at Surfers' Beach and will discuss the work ahead. "We are now working through some of the environmental and regulatory concerns and are looking for public feedback on some of the alternatives that are analyzed and the projects that are modeled,” said Mark Bierman of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. At the Oceano Hotel from 10 a.m. to noon.
Raptorama Birding Event
The first annual winter raptor migration event will take place in Half Moon Bay, kicking off with a reception on Friday night to welcome the speakers and attendees. On Saturday and Sunday, participants will partake in concurrent lectures and walks during the day with a raptor expert serving as the keynote speaker on Saturday evening during dinner. The lectures and dinner will be held at Cameron's Outback.

"Symphony of the Soil" Documentary at HMB High
Join the Half Moon Bay High School Future Farmers of America and The HEAL Project in the screening of "Symphony of the Soil." This film presents a "wondrous world of critters and bacteria, mulch and manure...At the very least, you will leave with the profound understanding that feeding our soil is the first step in feeding ourselves." — film reviewer Jeannette Catasoulis, New York Times

Rex Allen's Swing Express at Douglas Beach House
