Missing Paddle Boarder Found In Half Moon Bay: Police

Police advise people to avoid going in the water at night when conditions are dangerous and visibility is poor, and to never go in alone.

HALF MOON BAY, CA — A missing paddle boarder was found safe on land after a search Monday night, according to police.

Deputies responded around 7 p.m. to Pillar Point Harbor in Half Moon Bay after a woman went paddleboarding near sunset with her husband and became separated from him, police said. The man was quickly found safe on land walking back to the car, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, which noted fire, harbor and U.S. Coast Guard officials were enlisted to help with the search.
