SMC Sex Assault Suspect May Have Other Victims: Police

San Mateo County detectives have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a minor, and investigators say more victims may come forward.

HALF MOON BAY, CA β€” A Half Moon Bay man faces multiple allegations of sexual assault, and detectives said Thursday there may be more victims whom investigators have not heard from.

In a news release Thursday, the San Mateo County Sheriff's office said detectives launched an investigation in March after someone reported the sexual assault of a minor. Investigators moved in to arrest a suspect in the case Wednesday in Half Moon Bay.

Officials identified the man accused as Luis Antonio LaraPlancarte, 25, of Half Moon Bay. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on suspicion of lewd acts with a child.
