Restaurant Ba is Now Serving: Opening Menu Attached

After months of work, Ba is now open.

James Graham has worn numerous hats since first announcing his plans to open the Rustic French restaurant Ba on 5100 York Boulevard.

He spent hours designing and buidling the restaurant--from plumbing, to carpentry, to framing to any number unexpected tasks that must be completed to transform an empty space surrounded by four walls into a place where people can sit and eat.

Graham also played the role of planner, in order to secure all the licenses need to serve food and wine.

He was also Ba's spokesman, fielding dozens of questions from eaters and journalists every day, all of whom wanted to know when the work would be done.

As of Saturday, Chef was finally able to put on his chef's coat.

"Yes," Graham replied by e-mail on Wednesday afternoon.  "We are open."

Graham said Ba is now serving on limited hours with a smaller menu, both of which will expand soon.

"Right now we are open from 6 p.m.-11 p.m. and we will soon be staying open until midnight. We will add a Saturday and Sunday brunch service in late May," Graham said. "We just have a small menu now and it will grow larger over the next week or two.  We will be updating the menu weekly."
